EB Clinet Conference 2024: Registration

'Rising Star' EB Clinet Conference Grant

EB Clinet is happy to announce that a grant will be provided for 3 young healtcare professionals to help them to attend the EB Clinet Conference.

The grant covers:

• The standard registration fee
• Participation in the Social Events
• Reimbursement of travel costs up to 550,- EUR and accommodation costs up to 250,- EUR in total

To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must fulfil the following criteria:

• Be no more than 2-3 years into their residency position
• Provide a letter of recommendation from your department head
• Provide a motivation letter

Attendance at both days of the conference is mandatory for travel and accommodation reimbursement.

If EB Clinet receives more applications than there are grants available, EB Clinet will decide who will receive a grant.
The decision will be based on the following criteria: priority will be given to applicants from LMIC countries, to a high relevance of the applicant's participation for EB patients, to applicants that will enable the expansion of the EB Clinet network.

How to apply
Please send an email to office@eb-clinet.org with your personal details (name, profession, institution, work address, email address), a letter of motivation, a letter of recommendation from your head of department and your CV.

Join us at the dinner venue Natural History Museum Vienna (Naturhistorisches Museum Wien).

We will start with a welcome drink and a guided tour of a special exhibition in the museum, followed by a 3-course buffet dinner with drinks and the opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere.

How to get there: The Natural History Museum Vienna is located 4 stops/12 minutes away by tram from the conference venue.
After a short walk of 1 minute/50 m you can reach the station Weinburggasse. Take the tram (Line 2) direction Dornbach and get off at station Ring/Volkstheater. From Ring/Volkstheater station the dinner venue is only a 4 minutes/280m walk away.

Tickets: 89€ includes welcome drink, a guided tour of a special exhibition in the museum, a 3-course buffet dinner and selected drinks.

Seats: Limited number of seats.

Special diets: Limited vegan and gluten free options are available. Unfortunately, the caterer cannot accommodate any other special dietary requirements.

Dress code: Smart casual.

Please note: There will be no opportunity to buy tickets for the conference dinner onsite. Subject to availability, tickets can be purchased via the registration link until 30 September at the latest.

Tickets for the conference dinner are non-refundable. Please remember to bring your dinner ticket to the dinner.

Citizens of EU and EEA countries as well as Switzerland can travel to Austria for a holiday or a short stay of less than 6 months without the need for a visa. For all other countries, please check the visa requirements and further information on the official website:

Visa applications should be made well before your intended departure date. Please note that we can provide a visa invitation letter to assist our participants, but we cannot contact the Embassy or Consulate on your behalf, nor can we influence Embassy/Consulate procedures or decisions.

Registered participants who have paid their registration fee in full can request an official invitation letter by emailing office@eb-clinet.org. The letter is intended to assist participants in obtaining a visa or permission to attend the conference and will not cover any fees or expenses.
In the event that a participant's visa application is declined, the conference organisers will only refund the registration fees that have been paid upon receipt of a copy of the refusal letter before 31 August 2024.

 

Cancellation terms

Cancellations must be sent in writing to office@eb-clinet.org.

Refund of registration fees will be granted as follows:

• Received on or before 18 September 2024: A processing fee of €50 per cancellation.
• After 18 September 2024: No refund available.
• No refunds will be granted in case of a no-show.

If for reasons beyond the control of the organizer, the conference is canceled, the registration fee will be refunded after the deduction of expenses incurred by the conference.

 

Name change

A name change is possible until and on 18 September 2024. After this date, it is no longer possible. Name changes should be advised in writing to office@eb-clinet.org.

 

Payment & VAT Terms

Payment is possible by invoice (bank transfer) or credit card. Payment by invoice (bank transfer) is only available until 30 September 2024. After this date, payment will only be possible by credit card.

Upon completion of the registration, an automated email confirmation will be sent. Depending on the method of payment, the invoice or credit card receipt will be attached. The PDF is considered the original and will be the only copy you will receive.
It is your responsibility to immediately pay the invoice and you must ensure that the correct invoice address is entered during the process.
Registration fees will be charged in EUR (€). No VAT is applicable. DEBRA Austria is a registered non-profit organisation and is therefore not subject to VAT.
All costs for payment processing by the participant's own bank must be borne by the participant.

Definition of the authorised groups of persons for the respective categories:

Standard: health care professionals, students, other EB support groups, researchers, representatives from organisations with non-profit status
EB Clinet Clinical Contact: EB Clinet clinical Contacts (formerly EB Clinet Partners), who have filled in the EB Clinet General Questionnaire before 01/2024
DEBRA Representative: representatives of registered DEBRA groups
Industry: representatives of organisations with commercial status

 

Disclaimer

In case of reasons beyond the control of the conference organizers, EB Clinet has the right to immediately alter or cancel the Conference or any arrangements, timetables, plans, or other items relating directly or indirectly to EB Clinet. The participants shall not be entitled to any compensation for the damage that results from such alteration or cancellation. Furthermore, apart from any willful damage or gross negligence committed by EB Clinet, EB Clinet shall not at any time be liable for any direct or indirect damage suffered by the participants, including consequential and immaterial damage, caused by failure to comply with any provision of this statement.
The information that you provide to EB Clinet will be used to ensure we provide you with services that best meet your needs. This may include the promotion of EB Clinet services by electronic means.

 

Sharing of contact details

The EB Clinet Conference Secretariat will collect and store all personal data through the online registration system, and data will be treated by EB Clinet only for organizational purposes, particularly for matters in relation to the registration, monitoring of credits for CME (Continued Medical Education),  as well as information about EB Clinet.
Each participant receives a name badge onsite carrying the family name and the first name of the participant as well as the institution and the country. This badge needs to be carried at all times to have access to conference sessions and breaks. By registering for EB Clinet Conference 2024 you give consent to receiving information on EB Clinet activities and conferences for you or the participants you are registering. Participants can opt out of receiving any further information at any given time.

 

Photo/Video

Photographs  and/or films may be taken by or on behalf of the organiser as part of this event. By registering for the event, I acknowledge that photographs and video material on which I am depicted will be used for documentation purposes of the event and for press coverage and published in various (social) media (LinkedIn, Facebook), publications and on our websites (www.eb-clinet.org; www.eb-haus.org; www.debra-austria.org; www.eb-resnet.org).
